Shale Inhibition/Clay Stabilization
The Qualdrill™ series of shale inhibitors can
improve the efficiency of solids removal and stabilize clay swelling in
acidification, compressing, well modification and water injection. The shale
inhibitor adsorbs onto the cuttings and the borehole wall. As a result, larger
cuttings float to the surface and can then be removed.
As the inhibitor also
adsorbs onto the surface of the borehole, the stability of salt and clay
formations will be improved.
